IECF has received a monumental gift of $4.5 million from the estate of Jane Lykken Hoff. This generous donation is the largest of its kind in the Foundation’s history and, as an endowed gift, will have a profound impact on the Coachella Valley community for generations.

Jane Hoff, a trailblazing philanthropist, dedicated her life to charitable causes, including arts and culture, education, and environmental protection. Her legacy will live on through The Jane Lykken Hoff Endowment Fund, which will support four organizations she deeply cared about: the College of the Desert Foundation, the Palm Springs Historical Society, the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation, and PBS SoCal.

The endowment fund will provide scholarships to veterans and nursing students at the College of the Desert. Additionally, it will benefit programming offered by the Palm Springs Historical Society, the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation, and PBS SoCal.

A passionate equestrian, Jane Hoff spent much of her life exploring the Indian Canyons on horseback. Her generosity, wit, and refined spirit will be greatly missed by the community she loved.

“Jane believed in the power of community,” said [Insert estate executors’ names]. “This gift ensures that her passion for giving back will continue to inspire future generations. We are excited to see the positive impact this funding will bring to our region.”

IECF is honored to play a role in carrying on Jane Hoff’s legacy and ensuring that her generosity benefits the Coachella Valley community for years to come.
