Community Impact Fund:
Supporting Equity, Belonging, and Civic Engagement in the Inland Empire
Our Grantmaking Focus
At IECF, we believe that true change is cultivated in a landscape of equity, belonging, and civic engagement. Through our Community Impact Fund, we support organizations striving to create a more just Inland Empire—one where every resident feels valued, has a voice in shaping their community, and has access to opportunities that foster both individual and collective success.
Since March 2020, IECF has prioritized racial, gender, and economic equity, ensuring that our staff, Board, and grantmaking reflect the communities we serve. But equity is not just about addressing disparities—it’s about strengthening civic engagement and ensuring that every person has the power to shape their future. That’s why we focus on building leadership, amplifying voices, and fostering deep connections among people and organizations working toward change.
By applying the Vital Conditions Framework to our grantmaking, IECF recognizes that equity, belonging and civic engagement are foundational to a thriving region. When people feel connected and empowered to participate in decisions that impact their lives, communities become stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to tackle challenges together.
Strengthening Nonprofits and Leadership
IECF’s Community Impact Fund grants support organizations working to create more inclusive, connected, and opportunity-rich communities. We use data to identify disparities and direct resources to those most impacted, ensuring that our investments lead to long-term, systemic change.
