IECF is pleased to welcome Rosie Lewis and Benjamin Nate as our two newest board members! Their expertise, connections, and experience will play a key role in advancing our mission to strengthen the Inland Empire through philanthropy.
Rosie Lewis joined The Lewis Group of Companies in July 2020 as the Corporate Marketing Manager. At Lewis, her focus is leading the company’s rebrand, which includes messaging, communication, design, and digital presence.
Prior to Lewis, she worked in various roles in the startup space focused on digital marketing. She graduated from Claremont McKenna College, where she excelled as a collegiate athlete, and received a Master’s in Management with honors from Claremont Graduate University.
Rosie has also served on the Women’s Giving Fund Committee at IECF since 2023, helping to raise funds and awareness to address women’s issues in the IE.
Benjamin Nate has over 25 years of experience in public health policy and government relations. He is currently State Manager at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Attorney General, where he oversees the Community Engagement, Response and Engagement (CARE) team. This team is responsible for cultivating relationships with historically marginalized and underrepresented communities in line with DOJ’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of its work on behalf of the people of California, including in the fight for environmental, economic, and social justice.
For the last 25 years, Ben has been involved in major public health policy issues involving California, including tobacco control regulation, Medi-Cal expansion, reproductive rights, transportation, and environmental justice.
Benjamin has helped to increase civic engagement among Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities across the state and the nation and strengthen communication among API elected and appointed officials by advocating the formation of an organization of nationwide API officials. He was also instrumental in delivering and managing statewide API Stop the Hate grants during the coronavirus pandemic.
He is an alumnus of La Sierra University, Loma Linda University and Whittier College School of Law.
The IECF Board of Directors is a group of dedicated community leaders who bring a wealth of experience and passion to the table. They volunteer their time and expertise to guide the foundation’s strategic direction and ensure its grantmaking efforts effectively address the Inland Empire’s most pressing needs.
